Lorena Kohlruss

Lorena received a Bachelor of Arts degree (major, political science) from the University of Calgary, Alberta. She then obtained her L.L.B (Hons) from University of Wales, UK in 1998. She was called to the Alberta Bar in Calgary in 1999. Lorena has comprehensive experience in the private sector spanning numerous areas of general litigation with exposure comprising insurance defense, commercial, corporate, construction, real estate, regulatory, administrative law, family and immigration, and municipal law. Lorena remains a member of the Law Society of Alberta.

In October 2014, Lorena joined Heath Law where she practices general litigation and ICBC defence.

In 2011-2012 Lorena was elected President of the International Organization of the Honourable Order of the Blue Goose fraternal and charitable organization for professionals working in the insurance industry, overseeing Canada and United States. Lorena remains actively involved as a member and is the current Judge Advocate (general counsel) for the International Organization.

Lorena is also a committee member on the Governance Committee for Aspengrove School.

She also enjoys outdoor activities, particularly golfing.
