Nathan Seaward

After a background as a massage therapist and a small business owner, Nathan returned to university and obtained a BA from the University of Victoria in 2013, double majoring in political science and philosophy. He received a JD from the UVIC faculty of Law in 2016. Nathan joined Heath Law LLP as an articling student in August 2016, was called to the bar in May of 2017, and became a partner in January of 2024.

Nathan practices in the areas of corporate/ commercial, wills and estates, and real estate/ property law. Nathan seeks to approach legal issues from a common sense and public policy perspective, while always drawing authority from legislation and the common law. Nathan prides himself on communication and believes that his work and life experience place him in a unique position to see legal issues from his clients’ perspectives.

Originally hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Nathan loves all things Vancouver Island. He now considers himself a proud Island resident. Nathan has become an active member of the Nanaimo community and has acted as Events Director of the Young Professionals of Nanaimo in 2018/2019, President of the Young Professionals of Nanaimo in 2019/ 2020, and a Director of the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce from 2020 to 2024.

When not at work, Nathan particularly enjoys composing electronic music, being outside, and spending time with friends and family.
